Client’s Background

Client is a leading HR software solution provider in the US that provides real-time performance management and recognition platform. The platform allows organizations to build a highly engaged culture through real-time recognition and continuous feedback. With this solution, employees can also seek real-time feedback from peers, managers and customers.

Project Requirements

The application was been rapidly updated with the latest innovations but the existing test scripts were not updated. The test scripts were outdated and maintenance scripts were not available.
Client was having more than 200 API's with zero documentation, so lack of API documentation was a major challenge.
Lack of resources having complete knowledge of API's as well as processes.
No Integration with Jenkins for the execution of API's/Collections.
The absence of API test reporting and defects traceability with API's.

Solution

At first, the QA team from Suma Soft interacted with the development team and gathered all the resources related to existing API.
Our testing team explored their existing APIs and got an understanding of how to use their APIs in their processes.
Our API engineers carefully reviewed the test specifications and scripts which were already created by the client.
After the review of existing scripts, more than 200 reusable Test scripts were updated and created. This was essential to keep APIs running smoothly.
API engineers created API test scripts regression pack integrated with Jenkins. API collection was executed through Jenkins pipeline using Newman.
High-quality reports were generated using Jenkins reporting.
