Client’s Background

The client was a leading manufacturer of Motorcycles and Automobiles.

Project Requirements

The Specifications capabilities for an enterprise-wide definition of software, hardware, electronic, and mechanical product information were mapped along with the Variant Configuration Central (VCC) to manage the products' variants. Apart from this, the major challenge was that the specifications were written in the Japanese language. The offshore deployment team was not available, and requirements were continuously changing in each sprint.

Further, the client was looking for complete functional validation of the Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) system.

Solution

Initially, we involved the interpreter to understand the requirement specifications thoroughly. Our team of testers maintained continuous communication via regular calls and meetings to help align the testing processes. We managed separate sprint-wise documents for effective mapping of test cases with proper time management. Our team of testers prepared excel for writing test cases, used Zephyr for maintaining test cases, and JIRA for Bug Reporting.

To achieve this, we followed our proven methodology steps such as Requirement Analysis, Test Planning, Partitioning-Functional Decomposition, Test Case Design, Requirement Definition/Verification, Traceability Matrix, and Test Case Execution.
