Client’s Background

The client is the largest US-based everyday workplace food program provider. They partner with companies and office buildings to provide unique restaurant-based meal services, onsite popup restaurants, employer-paid lunch programs, catered meetings, and events, cafeteria replacement for employees and buildings.

Project Requirements

The client was looking for a well-experienced testing partner that could help them find major functional bugs as the application involved complex functionalities. Additionally, they needed complete cross-device and cross-platform testing executed within aggressive timelines. The major challenge was to set-up a test lab for various environments such as iOS and Android devices.

Solution

The Suma Soft QA team started with an application exploration approach. Initially, the application was explored by an offshore QA team and later demos and sessions were scheduled for knowledge transfer. An offshore test lab was set up with various versions of the hardware (Mobile Devices), software, and integration points with various tools. For every task, test scenarios were chalked out to test the flow and complex functionality of the platform. We successfully executed functional testing and regression testing of newsprints for POS, Mobile applications, and Web Applications.

We performed Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, Mobile Testing (iOS and Android), Defect retesting, API Testing (As on required on mobile), Cross Browsers Testing, Compatibility Testing on an ongoing basis. Using slack communication and video sharing services, we resolved the client’s day-to-day challenges.
